Give Me Everything

It’s been a great week!  There has been such an uptick in plotlines, that I feel like I just got to the good part of a really slow-paced novel.

I have had so many firsts that I’m trying to figure out where to begin.  So I’ll give you the best news, the most exciting of all news!  I started JOGGING on the treadmill.  Yes, friends and followers.  Suzy Carney is now a jogger!  Now, I will stipulate that I don’t jog for very long, but the legs are working again!  The last time I was jogging/running was on a treadmill in The Mirage gym in Vegas on Tuesday, August 2nd.  4 months and 1 day.  But, who’s counting?  Uh, I am!

On December 3, I was feeling really energized after a fun night out in the city with my family for Katie and David’s birthdays.  I got on the treadmill, cranked up my new “Kickin’ Ass with GBS” playlist on my ipod, and got into a rhythm.  When “Give me Everything” by Pitbull and NeYo came on, my body just took off.  “For all we know we might not get tomorrow”…

I couldn’t believe what I was feeling!

Everything. I was feeling everything! My feet, my calves, my core, my arms….  I was able to jog for 5 minutes straight, twice in a 30 minute treadmill session.  The endorphins were pumping through my brain, and I felt as if I had just won the lottery.  When I was done, I started jumping around my basement so excited, singing at the top of my lungs.  It really is a good thing that no one is around during the day, because I really do make a fool of myself– but, it’s all in the name of recovery, my friends!  I increase the jogging a bit each time I’m on the treadmill, and really can’t believe it.  I am up to 40 minutes a day, with 4-five minute increments of jogging each session.  There are no marathons in my future at this point, but the fire has been lit.  Suzy is Back.

Additionally, I found the best vitamins.  I started taking vitamin D3 which is good for a healthy immune system and natural energy.  We all know that these are my two weakest areas— my immune system and my energy level.  I started taking these vitamins about a week ago, and I can already feel the difference.  Between my new regimen of treadmill therapy and Vitamin D3, I feel like a new woman!

For the first time since August 11, I can honestly say, I Feel Great!

Took my life from negative to positive….
I just want y’all know that, And tonight, let’s enjoy life!

Thank you for joining me on this journey.
